George Elias Sayour was born in 1975 in South Florida where he played basketball, ran cross-country and fished until he graduated high school in 1993. He went on to study Mechanical Engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY. During this time, he cultivated his
love for the outdoors and passion for extreme sports. In 1997 George accepted a job at Procter and Gamble at their site in Pennsylvania. After 5 years of long hours and little personal or spiritual fullfillment, George walked away from a successful career as a mechanical engineer and
manager to follow God’s plan for his life. He now serves on staff at his alma mater as high school math teacher, Faith Sharing Leader, Encounter
Retreat leader, and Director of Admissions. Sayour spends his spare time whitewater kayaking and hiking in the mountains with his wife and former classmate, Susan.
